Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mark Doze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucian Rodrigues (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Doze might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to "Don't Trust Me" by 3Oh!3. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mark Doze!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lucian Rodrigues!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Matheus Silva and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodrigues fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Doze tries to clinch there but Rodrigues circles away.
Rodrigues tries for a takedown but Doze sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Doze fails with an attempt to clinch.

Rodrigues takes the fight into the clinch.
Rodrigues on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Doze is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Rodrigues is keeping busy.
Doze tries a knee to the head but Rodrigues blocks it.

Rodrigues manages to break the clinch.

Doze closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Doze lands in his opponent's guard.

Rodrigues working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Doze doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Doze manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Doze has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Rodrigues looks gassed!
Doze wants to stand but Rodrigues is controlling his posture from full guard.
Doze not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Rodrigues will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Rodrigues is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Rodrigues gets caught flat footed, as Doze shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Rodrigues has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Doze can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Doze stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rodrigues swivels though and keeps the full guard.

and Rodrigues counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Rodrigues wants to control from the top but Doze keeps moving.

Rodrigues is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Doze kicks Rodrigues off and gets to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Lucian Rodrigues will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Horrible takedown by Rodrigues or perhaps it was just good defense by Doze which made him look bad.
Rodrigues tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Doze swivels and escapes.
Doze tries to clinch but Rodrigues moves away

and Rodrigues counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Rodrigues wants to free his trapped foot but Doze is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Rodrigues seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Doze does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Doze has one foot on Rodrigues's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Doze misses with a takedown

and Rodrigues counters with a takedown into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Rodrigues is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Doze looks calm but he's in trouble here. Rodrigues gets his head over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Doze is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Rodrigues lets go of the hold and Doze can pop his arm back in it's socket.
