The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kemppainen drives through with a takedown into guard.
Vlad lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kemppainen!

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Vlad has control of Kemppainen's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kemppainen regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Kemppainen tries to reverse the position but Vlad maintains control.

Vlad goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Kemppainen turns into him and now he's in Vlad's guard.

Vlad has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Vlad manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kemppainen manages to get himself to full guard.
Kemppainen wants to sweep but no luck.
Vlad works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Kemppainen wants to improve his position but Vlad is controlling well.
Kemppainen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vlad. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Vlad is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Kemppainen is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
