Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mark Marx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Laruso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daniel Laruso !
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laruso throws a sloppy head kick and Marx moves out of range easily.
Marx closes the distance and clinches up with Laruso , looking for a takedown. Marx pushes Laruso against the cage but Laruso circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Marx is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Laruso 's half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Marx bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Marx feints and as Laruso raises his hands in defense, Marx changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Marx, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
