Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rejinaldo Araujo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gedo Sake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rejinaldo Araujo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gedo Sake!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Leandro Rodrigues and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sake shoots in for a double leg but Araujo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Araujo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sake lands a nice hook to Araujo's body. Araujo takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Sake tries to close the distance and clinch but Araujo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Gedo Sake seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sake shoots for a takedown but Araujo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Horrible takedown by Sake or perhaps it was just good defense by Araujo which made him look bad.

It looks like Rejinaldo Araujo has been cut.

Sake comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Sake scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Sake shoots in looking for a takedown. Araujo tries to sprawl out of it but Sake keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Araujo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Araujo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Araujo wants it to stay on the feet.

Araujo throws a right hand that Sake ducks under and follows up with a left that Sake also avoids with ease.

Sake scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Sake postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Sake working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Araujo tries to escape but Sake is in control.

Araujo slaps away a takedown attempt from Sake, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Sake feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Sake wants to control from the top but Araujo keeps moving.
Sake won't allow Araujo to get back to his feet.
Araujo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Sake is breathing heavily.

Sake thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Araujo wants to stand up but Sake is controlling him.

Araujo has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Sake off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
No joy there for Araujo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sake tries to score a power double leg takedown but Araujo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sake somewhat.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Araujo stuffs the takedown attempt from Sake. Sake gets slowly back to his feet.

and Sake counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Sake prevents Araujo from standing back up.
Sake wants to lay and pray for a moment but Araujo keeps working.
Araujo won't allow Sake to pass to mount.

Sake is looking for a kimura but Araujo is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sake to get the leverage.

Sake is stalling here. Araujo is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Sake seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Araujo has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Araujo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Araujo tries to get out of the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Sake lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rejinaldo Araujo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Araujo throws a jab but it's blocked by Sake.

Araujo tries to bum rush Sake with a series of wild strikes but Sake uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Gedo Sake showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

and Sake counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Araujo is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Sake is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Araujo is keeping busy.
Araujo wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sake has him pressed against the cage.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sake has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Araujo avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Gedo Sake is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Gedo Sake comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sake has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
