Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonny Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rusty Kuntz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rusty Kuntz acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The referee asks Jones politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Jones prefers to stall for the moment though.

Kuntz tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Jones presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Jones can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kuntz is looking to escape.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kuntz tries to hold on but Jones postures up.
Kuntz is controlling an arm, preventing Jones from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Kuntz manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Kuntz decides to stand back up. Kuntz steps back and let's Jones get back to his feet.

Kuntz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jones sprawls well initially but Kuntz persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Kuntz is trying to control. Jones wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Kuntz tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Jones is looking for a sweep. Kuntz is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kuntz looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Kuntz avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Rusty Kuntz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fight stays on the outside here - Kuntz looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A head kick from Kuntz lands but Jones takes it in his stride.

Kuntz feints and as Jones raises his hands in defense, Kuntz changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Kuntz is trying to land a reversal but Jones doesn't like that idea too much. He pushed the legs to the side and dives into side control. He's managed to grab a loose arm triangle. Jones is tightening it up though! This could be trouble for Kuntz! Kuntz trying desperately to escape but he's gone limp! He's out! Wooooorld class Brazilian Jiu Jitsu from Jones!
