Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rumina Sato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aoki Matsumoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Rumina Sato has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rumina Sato!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Aoki Matsumoto!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sato fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Matsumoto looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Sato!
Matsumoto prevents Sato from getting the reversal.

Matsumoto wants to finish this one by submission but Sato is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Matsumoto.
Sato working to try and regain half guard.
Sato is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Matsumoto is going olschool here, as he tries to force Sato to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Sato shrugs it off.

Matsumoto goes for an armbar but Sato turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Sato.

Matsumoto has his foot on Sato's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sato works his way back into a safe position though.
Sato advances position into side control!
Sato wants to control but Matsumoto is keeping him busy.
Matsumoto looks gassed!

Sato has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Sato throws a right and a left that both miss.
Matsumoto fails with the takedown

and Sato counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Matsumoto's guard now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sato stands and throws Matsumoto's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Sato trying to control the position but Matsumoto is working away.

Sato has hold of Matsumoto's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Matsumoto tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Sato cranks the arm and Matsumoto screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Matsumoto, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
