The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pirate looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cod is fending him off so far but Pirate persists. Nope, Cod circles away and we're back to standing.

It looks like Peter Pirate has been cut.
Pirate moves in looking to clinch but Cod pushes him off.
Cod swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Manny Cod has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Pirate.
Pirate looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Pirate tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cod paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Pirate shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cod's guard.

Pirate gets to his feet - Cod follows without any prompting.
Cod is breathing heavily.

Pirate closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Cod on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cod tries to get out of the position.
