Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tyrod Malone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ride Grierson!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Aleksandr Martynov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malone throws a right and a left that both miss.
Grierson has a takedown stuffed.
Malone swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Malone stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Malone lands with a slapping head kick.
Grierson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Malone's waist but Malone gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Grierson off to one side.
Grierson misses with a takedown attempt - Malone sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Tyrod Malone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ride Grierson.
Malone connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
A head kick from Malone lands but Grierson takes it in his stride.
Grierson is rocked!
Malone connects with a superb combination that knocks Grierson out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Malone before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Grierson!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Tyrod Malone!
