Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Phantom Menace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darth Nurple (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Menace comes to the cage accompanied by Leroy Brown. Nurple has chosen Imperial March as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Darth Nurple was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Phantom Menace!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Darth Nurple!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Jorge Garcia and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice jab there from Menace.
Nurple throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Menace fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Some wild striking there from Nurple.
Nurple slips a jab and a cross from Menace.
Nurple takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Menace keeps the fight on the outside.
Nurple shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Nurple pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Menace cracks Nurple with an open hand slap.
Nurple throws a hook to the side of Menace's head but Menace sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Menace uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Menace bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Nurple's head backwards.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Nurple lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Menace has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Menace and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Menace misses with a wild combination.
Nurple takes one on the button.
Menace misses with a double jab.
Menace lands a really nice looking cross but Nurple seems unphased.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Nurple tries to score with a low kick but Menace moves his leg out of the way.
Menace avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A jab from Menace finds it's way through Nurple's defenses.
Nurple slips under a jab.
Nurple staying out of range there.
Nurple blocks the body kick.
No joy there for Menace, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Menace displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Nice straight punches there by Menace. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Menace.
Menace throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Menace scores with a jab to the jaw.
Nurple is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Menace.
Menace uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Menace is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Menace scores with the left hand. Nurple knows he should have avoided that one.
Nurple is rocked!
Menace throws an overhand right that drops Nurple like a sack of potatoes! Menace dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Phantom Menace!
