Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Taite Gordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaari Kuukonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gordon comes to the cage accompanied by Whistlin' Dixie. Kuukonen has chosen Armin Van Buuren - Rapture as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Gordon misses.
Kuukonen lands a jab-cross combination.
Kuukonen's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Kuukonen duly obliges.
Gordon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kuukonen.
Gordon throws a hook but Kuukonen avoids it easily.
Kuukonen fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Kuukonen throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Gordon swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kuukonen counters with a left and a right that stings Gordon.
Kuukonen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kuukonen swings for the body but Gordon moves out of range.
Gordon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kuukonen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kuukonen throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Kuukonen misses with a low kick.
Nice straight punches there by Gordon. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Gordon.
Gordon loads up on a big right hand but Kuukonen slips the punch.
Kuukonen ducks right into an uppercut from Gordon.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kuukonen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Kuukonen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gordon.

Gordon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kuukonen lands a two punch combo.
A head kick misses from Kuukonen.

Kuukonen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Kuukonen trying to control from half guard but Gordon is working away.
Kuukonen prevents Gordon from improving his position.

Kuukonen looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Gordon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kuukonen on the ground.

Kuukonen is working for a kimura but Gordon is defending it quite comfortably.
Gordon is looking to improve his position.

Gordon has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kuukonen is working away from the top position though.
Gordon tries to get to full guard but Kuukonen has control of the leg.
Gordon is trying to stand up here but Kuukonen is controlling him well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Gordon takes one to the chin there.

Gordon is rocked!
Kuukonen thuds his shin into the meat of Gordon's side.
Oh Gordon is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gordon is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Kuukonen has cracked Gordon with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Kuukonen lands another huge swinging hook and Gordon tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Gordon, before Kuukonen can land any more shots!
