Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Craig Mantle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Tyke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Craig Mantle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Phil Tyke!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Donald Grub and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyke avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mantle tries to clinch up but Tyke circles away and keeps his distance.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Tyke.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tyke wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mantle keeps working.
Mantle manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Tyke is controlling the pace.

Tyke is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mantle defends it well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mantle is trying to stand up here but Tyke is controlling him well.
Tyke throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Mantle is trying to stand back up but Tyke is controlling him

Tyke decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Mantle is looking to clinch but Tyke is avoiding it.
Tyke avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mantle doesn't manage to clinch there - Tyke circles away.
Mantle tries to clinch up.

Tyke shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mantle's guard.
Tyke passes into half guard.
Tyke stalling.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mantle wants to get back to his feet.
Mantle is breathing heavily.
Tyke perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Tyke's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Tyke trying to mount his opponent but Mantle defends it.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Tyke tries to pass the half guard into mount. Mantle knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Tyke takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Phil Tyke dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Mantle moves in looking to clinch but Tyke pushes him off.
Mantle could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Tyke moves into the clinch successfully.
Mantle is trying to stall.
Mantle lands with a light punch inside.
Mantle throws a punch but it's blocked by Tyke.
A head punch on the inside from Mantle fails to land.
Mantle wants to stall.

Tyke tightens his grip and picks Mantle up, before dumping him to the ground. Mantle manages to land in guard.
Tyke is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Tyke prevents Mantle from getting back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Tyke postures up and lands a big shot to Mantle's brow.
Tyke controlling from the top position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tyke accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Mantle is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Tyke sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Tyke scoring with some ground and pound.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Tyke postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Tyke slips nicely into half guard.
Tyke lands strikes from half guard.

Tyke is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mantle defends it well.

Mantle is defending against the submission attempts here by Tyke.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tyke working over Mantle with some ground and pound. Mantle looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Mantle pushes Tyke off looking to stand but Tyke dives back in and keeps control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Tyke performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Phil Tyke showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Mantle tries to keep at a distance but Tyke has taken the fight into the clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Mantle.
A nice right hand lands inside from Mantle.
Tyke dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Mantle fails to land.
Tyke blocking some punches.
Mantle tries to circle away but Tyke has him pinned against the cage.
Tyke just leaning against Mantle, taking a breather.
Mantle scores with a shoulder strike.
Mantle working aggressively here.

Tyke pulls guard successfully.
Tyke bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mantle's guard.
Tyke controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Let's hope that Tyke has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Tyke gets to his feet - Mantle follows without any prompting.

Mantle gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Tyke to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Tyke pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mantle is keeping the position for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tyke's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Mantle keeping full guard, as Tyke tries to pass.

Tyke gets to his feet. Mantle looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tyke throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Craig Mantle is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Tyke changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mantle looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Mantle being controlled for a moment.
Tyke lands a nice forearm strike.
Tyke is working Mantle over with some ground and pound from side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mantle is trying to buck Tyke off.

Tyke is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mantle knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Tyke lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

And that's the end of the fight!
Phil Tyke comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Tyke has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
