With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vladmir Volchenkov!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Sergei Dronov and Valeri Chadov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matos moves in looking to clinch but Volchenkov pushes him off.
Matos displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Volchenkov throws out the jab.
Volchenkov pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Matos gets caught flat footed, as Volchenkov shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Volchenkov would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Matos is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Volchenkov wants to pass the guard but Matos is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Matos is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Volchenkov tries to free his leg and advance position but Matos is retaining full guard.

Matos is trying to improve his position.

Volchenkov has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Volchenkov just misses with a punch to the body.
Volchenkov gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Matos.
Matos uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Volchenkov.

Matos clinches up with Volchenkov and pushes him back against the cage.
Matos tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Volchenkov just stands there and leans against the cage.

Matos jumps guard and drags Volchenkov to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Matos is trying to control the position but Volchenkov postures up.

Volchenkov is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Matos has his feet on Volchenkov's thighs here. He's pushed Volchenkov off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Volchenkov screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
