The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Despite being in the dominant position, Kurt Angle just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
A nice inside leg kick there by Shurygalo. That's going to slow Angle down.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Angle crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Shurygalo - the referee stops the clock and Angle gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Shurygalo. Angle manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Nolan Shurygalo.
