Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gordie Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryuuchi Tayzanaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryuuchi Tayzanaki will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gordie Green!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryuuchi Tayzanaki!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Eddie Farnsworth and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Green shoots in and bounces Tayzanaki off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Green tries to stand but Tayzanaki is controlling from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tayzanaki wants to stand and escape but Green is having none of it.
Green seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Tayzanaki is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Green decides to stand up, so the ref orders Tayzanaki to his feet.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Tayzanaki just misses with a elbow thrown towards Green's brow.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Green creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Green decides to pull guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Green escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tayzanaki gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Green bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Tayzanaki got a little sloppy there for a moment and Green has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tayzanaki has managed to get both his arms back between Green's legs - danger averted.

Green clinches up with Tayzanaki and pushes him back against the cage.
Green throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Tayzanaki blocks it with crossed arms.

Green lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Tayzanaki has hold of Green's hands but Green slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Well Green has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
