Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Singh shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Suigetsu manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Singh slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Singh wants to control from the top but Suigetsu keeps moving.
Singh passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Suigetsu is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Singh has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Suigetsu is not content to let Singh control the position.
Singh slows the pace down.
Singh decides to stand back up.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Suigetsu doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Singh counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Suigetsu!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Suigetsu is squirming around, avoiding Singh's attempts to control the action.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Sabal Urjita Singh just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Suigetsu lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Singh circles away quickly and effectively.

Singh scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Singh is taking a breather. Suigetsu says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Singh seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Suigetsu for as long as he can get away with.

Suigetsu is working to avoid the ground and pound but Singh connects with a decent elbow.

Singh fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Suigetsu sprawls well initially but Singh persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Singh is working for a kimura but Suigetsu is defending it quite comfortably.
Singh is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Suigetsu is looking to escape.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Singh content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Singh not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Singh wants to pass to mount but Suigetsu is defending the position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Suigetsu throws a head kick that misses.
Suigetsu will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Singh has taken the fight to the clinch.
Singh jumps guard and drags Suigetsu to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Suigetsu throws a big right hand that misses.
Suigetsu is looking to stand up but Singh won't let him.
Singh on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Singh tries to get out of the position.
Suigetsu wants to pass the guard but Singh is keeping the position.

Suigetsu wants to control from the top but Singh keeps moving.
Suigetsu takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Suigetsu won't allow Singh to sweep him here.
Baka Suigetsu has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Singh is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Singh is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Well Singh has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
