Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Margarito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and nick daley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Margarito's entrance music is Amazing. A fine choice. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Margarito tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
daley dodges the punch combination from Margarito.

Margarito forces daley back against the cage and clinches.
Margarito is leaning against daley and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

daley is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

daley tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no daley has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

daley is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Margarito is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Margarito tries to bench press daley off him but daley keeps the position.
Margarito wants to control but daley postures up.
Margarito knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for daley on the ground.
Margarito misses with a strike from the bottom.
Margarito is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

daley tries for a kimura but Margarito is defending well.

nick daley dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Margarito pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A head kick misses from Margarito.
daley will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
nick daley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
daley looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Margarito is fending him off so far but daley persists. Nope, Margarito circles away and we're back to standing.
Margarito tries to clinch up but daley circles away and keeps his distance.
daley shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Margarito but Margarito pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Ricardo Margarito has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of nick daley.

Margarito moves into range and clinches up with daley.

daley changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Margarito fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Margarito throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

daley closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - daley lands in his opponent's guard.

daley is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Margarito doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time daley.

daley blocks the strikes from Margarito.
nick daley has got the better of the ground game so far.
