The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Steele throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mendes was covering up waiting for the punch and Steele finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Steele is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mendes is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mendes has escaped and now he's on top!
