The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rowley shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Luuttu manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Luuttu had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Rowley is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Luuttu Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Rowley's back instead.
It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Luuttu is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Rowley is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Rowley passes Luuttu's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
