The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Davila pushes Koronkovic up against the cage in a clinch.
Davila scores with a shoulder strike.
Davila is trying to break the clinch but Koronkovic has him pressed against the cage.

Koronkovic throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Davilas head.
Davila tries to pull guard but Koronkovic holds him up against the cage and eventually Davila drops back down to his feet.
Koronkovic keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Davila's efforts to push away.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Koronkovic.
Koronkovic has had enough of the clinch but Davila keeps him there for the moment.
Koronkovic lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Koronkovic lands a body shot in the clinch.
Davila jumps guard but Koronkovic stands there with Davila around his waist. Davila gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Davila has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Koronkovic uses from the top position.
Koronkovic throws a big right hand that misses.
Davila wants to sweep here but Koronkovic controlling him for the moment.
Koronkovic postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Koronkovic works over Davila with some ground and pound from guard.
Davila is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Davila can do anything to dispel that myth.

Koronkovic slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Koronkovic wants to get up but he can't break Davila's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Koronkovic is looking to work some ground and pound but Davila has wrist control.
Koronkovic passes Davila's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Davila tries to kick Koronkovic off but Koronkovic keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Koronkovic takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Davila is looking for a sweep. Koronkovic is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Koronkovic seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Davila does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Koronkovic is trying to control. Davila wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Koronkovic slips a nice elbow through Davila's hands, connecting with Davila's forehead.
Koronkovic working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Davila pushes Koronkovic off but Koronkovic dives into side control.
Koronkovic cracks Davila with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Koronkovic is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Davila looks calm but he's in trouble here. Koronkovic gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Davila is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Koronkovic lets go of the hold and Davila can pop his arm back in it's socket.
