Carver's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Tupac - Ambitionz Az a Ridah. Kiing is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Living on a Prayer. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Solomon Carver!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Scorpion Kiing!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Dmitry Maklakov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiing looks for a takedown but Carver sprawls well.
Carver darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Kiing tries to clinch up but Carver circles away and keeps his distance.
Carver scores with a decent looking hook.
Carver listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Carver wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Kiing misses with a takedown attempt - Carver sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kiing shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Carver as he jumps to the side.
Solomon Carver has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scorpion Kiing.
Carver lands with an uppercut that bounces Kiing off the cage and back into rage.

Kiing takes one on the chin but seems OK.

The fight stays on the outside here - Kiing looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Carver comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kiing shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Carver pinned against the cage. Carver gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kiing takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Kiing keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kiing fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kiing looks gassed!
Kiing shoots in looking for a takedown. Carver tries to sprawl out of it but Kiing keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Carver manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Carver is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Kiing throws a sloppy head kick and Carver moves out of range easily.

Carver smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Carver connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Kiing momentarily.

Carver fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Carver cracks Kiing with a good jab.
Carver motions for Kiing to come forward. Carver throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Kiing closes this distance looking for a takedown but Carver circles away.
Carver ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Kiing takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Carver uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Kiing shoots in but Carver avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kiing takes one to the chin there.
Scorpion Kiing seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A decent looking cross lands there for Carver.
Nice sprawl there from Carver as Kiing shoots in.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Carver might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Kiing won't allow Carver to get back to his feet.

Kiing postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Carver is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kiing, into his guard.
Kiing is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kiing looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Carver puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Kiing wants to get back to his feet.
Kiing is breathing heavily.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Kiing wants to stand back up but Carver manages to pass into side control.
Carver controls the position.
Kiing is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Carver decides to stand back up. Carver steps back and let's Kiing get back to his feet.

and Carver makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Kiing has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
