Podrezov comes to the cage accompanied by South Park - La Resistance!. Fedor Podrezov is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fedor Podrezov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Erik Saba!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Vladimir Khabensky and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saba scores with a leg kick.
Saba throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Podrezov is looking to land body kicks.

Saba darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Podrezov has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Saba is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Podrezov.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Podrezov is stalling here. Saba is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Podrezov seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Saba has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Podrezov bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Saba's guard.

Podrezov drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Podrezov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Saba is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Fedor Podrezov will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Fedor Podrezov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Saba fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Podrezov.

Podrezov pushes a forearm under Saba's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Saba is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
