Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Benoit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Conquerer Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Conquerer Jones acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Benoit controlling the position for now.
Benoit has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jones is working away from the top position though.
Jones wants to pass the guard but Benoit is defending well.
Benoit is looking to control Jones's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Benoit avoid being mounted?
Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Benoit keeps working.
Jones prevents Benoit from standing back up.

Jones is trying to work for a kimura but Benoit is defending well.
Benoit trying to control but Jones postures up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Benoit keeps the fight on the outside.
Benoit tries to close the distance and clinch but Jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Benoit throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jones was covering up waiting for the punch and Benoit finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Jones keeping moving, preventing Benoit from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Benoit wanted to stand there but Jones had control of the position.
Benoit knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jones on the ground.

Jones wants to sweep but no luck.
Benoit wants to stand but Jones has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Jones trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Benoit is looking to stand up but Jones won't let him.
Benoit working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Benoit stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jones misses with a wild body shot.
Benoit misses with a takedown

and Jones counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Jones is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Benoit avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jones.
Benoit on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Benoit tries to get out of the position.
Jones is keen to just control but Benoit is a slippery customer.
Jones is taking a breather. Benoit says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Jones wants to work for an arm triangle but Benoit is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Jones tries to pass to full mount but Benoit defends it.
Benoit keeping hold of Jones's head, controlling as best he can.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Jones seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Benoit is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
