And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Day jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Day swinging wilding here.

Day shoots in for a takedown but Irons shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Day lands with a kick to the temple. Irons shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Day misses with a jab, cross combination.

The fight stays on the outside here - Day looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Day moves in looking to clinch but Irons pushes him off.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Day slips a straight right by Irons.
Good leg kick by Irons there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Day looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Irons counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Day is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Well Day has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
