Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jonny Tilapia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drex Lanier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jonny Tilapia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Drex Lanier!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tilapia keeps the fight on the outside.
Tilapia takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Lanier looks to land a combination. Tilapia sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Tilapia tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lanier sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tilapia somewhat.
A left and a right from Lanier both land. Nice combination.
Lanier lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Tilapia at a distance.
Lanier clobbers Tilapia with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Lanier tries to close the distance and clinch but Tilapia swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lanier really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tilapia. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tilapia is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lanier doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Tilapia.

Tilapia postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Lanier is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Tilapia, into his guard.

Lanier decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Tilapia, up you get!

Lanier got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tilapia has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lanier has managed to get both his arms back between Tilapia's legs - danger averted.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lanier accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Drex Lanier dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Tilapia drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Lanier manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Tilapia has Lanier in his guard.

Well Lanier has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
