The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crestfall tries to clinch up but Rickenhausen circles away and keeps his distance.
Crestfall misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rickenhausen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Crestfall as he jumps to the side.
Rickenhausen drives through with a takedown into guard.
Crestfall is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Crestfall wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Rickenhausen is now in half guard.
Crestfall pushes Rickenhausen off but Rickenhausen dives into side control.
Crestfall is looking for a sweep.
Crestfall looks to move to half guard but instead Rickenhausen has passed into mount! Damn!

Crestfall wants to control but Rickenhausen is having none of it.
Crestfall is desperately trying to improve his position but Rickenhausen has a good base and remains in mount.

Crestfall is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Rickenhausen is staying active.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rickenhausen's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jaelyn Crestfall just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Crestfall scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Rickenhausen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Crestfall might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Rickenhausen kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rickenhausen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
