Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Derterim Nordshaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Richard Kuklinski!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuklinski moves in looking to clinch but Nordshaw pushes him off.
Kuklinski tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nordshaw paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Kuklinski darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Kuklinski wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nordshaw keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nordshaw keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Kuklinski trying to pass the guard but Nordshaw defending well.
Kuklinski is thwarting Nordshaw's attempts to control the position.
Kuklinski thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Nordshaw wants to get back to his feet.

Kuklinski is looking for a kimura but Nordshaw is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kuklinski to get the leverage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Kuklinski tries to clinch there but Nordshaw circles away.
Nordshaw wants to clinch.

Kuklinski darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Kuklinski looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Kuklinski wants to take a breather but Nordshaw is having none of it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kuklinski throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Kuklinski throwing shots but Nordshaw is blocking nicely.
Nordshaw is trying to stand.
Nordshaw is trying to control but can't.
Kuklinski slips a nice elbow through Nordshaw's hands, connecting with Nordshaw's forehead.
Kuklinski prevents Nordshaw from improving his position.
Nordshaw is trying is best to control the position here.

Kuklinski is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Nordshaw is just riding it out for now. Kuklinski eventually gives up the hold.
Kuklinski has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Kuklinski throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kuklinski is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Nordshaw wants to get back to his feet.
Kuklinski is looking to stall here but Nordshaw recovers full guard.
Kuklinski pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Nordshaw is keeping the position for now.
Kuklinski won't allow Nordshaw to get back to his feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Nordshaw looking for a sweep. Not yet Nordshaw, not yet.
Nordshaw knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kuklinski on the ground.
Kuklinski postures up in Nordshaw's guard and throws a big left but Nordshaw blocks it.
Nordshaw preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kuklinski checks a low kick from Nordshaw.
Nordshaw looks up at the clock. Bad move! Kuklinski lands a right hand from hell, dropping Nordshaw. Kuklinski pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Richard Kuklinski!
