The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sudo connects with the punch.
It looks like Mike Caluha has been cut.
Sudo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sudo wants it to stay on the feet.
Caluha shoots for a takedown but Sudo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Sudo tries to clinch but Caluha moves out of range.
Caluha swats away the attempt to clinch by Sudo.
Sudo cracks Caluha with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Caluha throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sudo's waist but Sudo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Caluha off to one side.

Sudo gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Caluha to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Horrible takedown by Caluha or perhaps it was just good defense by Sudo which made him look bad.

Sudo manages to work his way to half guard, despite Caluha's best efforts.
Caluha winds up and cracks Sudo with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Mike Caluha overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Caluha is working Sudo over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Sudo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Caluha can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Sudo has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Caluha is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Sudo.

Caluha looks up at the clock and then as Sudo takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Caluha smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Caluha, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
