Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Meeoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sonny Corleone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Corleone's choice of entrance music: The Godfather Waltz. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Joseph Jones and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corleone fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Meeoff sprawls well initially but Corleone persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Meeoff manages to get to full guard.
Meeoff is trying to control the position but Corleone postures up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Corleone accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Meeoff looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Corleone postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Corleone trying to control the position from guard on top but Meeoff is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Meeoff looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Meeoff has a closed guard, preventing Corleone from standing up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Meeoff throws a big shot that misses.

and Corleone decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Meeoff's guard.

Corleone working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Meeoff doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Meeoff manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Corleone lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Corleone lands a nice short elbow.

Corleone is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Meeoff managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Corleone.
Corleone wants to control but Meeoff is keeping him busy.
The ground and pound from Corleone seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Meeoff gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Corleone has Meeoff pressed against the ropes, preventing Meeoff from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Meeoff escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Meeoff throws a sloppy head kick and Corleone moves out of range easily.

Meeoff pivots, looking for a leg kick but Corleone is out of range and Meeoff settles back down.

and Corleone counters with a takedown into side control.
Corleone throws a strike aimed at the side of Meeoff's head but Meeoff avoids it well.
Meeoff is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Corleone is chipping away with strikes.
Corleone looking to control but instead Meeoff has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Corleone is trying to work for a kimura but Meeoff is defending well.
Meeoff tries to kick Corleone off but Corleone keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Corleone connects with a nice short shot to Meeoff's temple.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Corleone. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Meeoff is trying to control but can't.
Meeoff is refusing to be controlled, as Corleone sits in half guard.
Meeoff pushes Corleone off looking to stand but Corleone dives back in and keeps control.
Corleone thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Meeoff to regain full guard.
Corleone is in close to Meeoff's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Corleone's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Sonny Corleone showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Corleone cracks Meeoff with a big right hand but Meeoff just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Corleone throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Corleone wants to lay and pray for a moment but Meeoff keeps working.

Corleone misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Meeoff is trying to get back to half guard.
Corleone tries to score with some ground and pound. Meeoff controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Corleone throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Meeoff works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Corleone takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Corleone looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Meeoff with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Meeoff throws an elbow but Corleone slips to the side and avoids it well.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Meeoff with a nice cross.
Meeoff throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Corleone.
Meeoff fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Corleone closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Meeoff did well to prevent Corleone getting side control.

Still in half guard, Corleone seems content to control.
Corleone seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Meeoff does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
