Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zack Hitana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and LieHarder Machete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). LieHarder Machete has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Zack Hitana!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, LieHarder Machete!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Alexandre Firmino and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machete keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hitana rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Machete moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Hitana gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Hitana tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Machete drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hitana looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hitana looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hitana!
Machete wants to control but Hitana postures up.
Machete might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hitana kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Machete is looking for a sweep.
Machete is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Machete is trying to control Hitana's posture but Hitana avoids it.
Machete is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Hitana seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Hitana moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Machete.
Hitana is staying tight to Machete's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Hitana tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hitana has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Machete gets back to half guard.

Hitana's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Machete is looking for a sweep. Hitana is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Machete is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hitana pulls his head out easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Zack Hitana just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Machete fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hitana stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hitana wants it to stay on the feet.

Hitana has managed to clinch.
Machete is working for takedown but Hitana is calmly controlling the position for now.
Zack Hitana has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of LieHarder Machete.
Hitana misses with a knee to the head.
Hitana lands an elbow that stopped Machete in his tracks for a moment.


It looks like LieHarder Machete has been cut.
Machete drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hitana pulls his leg out and moves away.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Machete looks gassed!
Hitana fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Hitana throws a head kick that Machete semi-blocks.
Hitana just misses with a punch to the body.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Machete.
A punch lands to the side of Machete 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Hitana moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hitana connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Machete! He's out on his feet! Hitana rushes in and drops Machete with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Zack Hitana!
