Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, cj rage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, alex silva!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Chris Edwards and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

rage drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
rage lands an elbow.
silva wants to control but rage postures up.
rage landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.


It looks like alex silva has been cut.

rage wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by silva, who protects the arm well.
rage in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

rage goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, silva has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for rage but great work by silva.
silva taking a breather here.
silva connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused rage some visible discomfort.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but rage keeps working.
You can see the frustration on rage's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

silva is looking to take a break and control but rage is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
rage is trying to control silva's posture but silva avoids it.
silva tries to stand but rage is controlling his head.
silva lands some shots froms side control.
rage isn't going anywhere.
rage wants to control but silva postures up.
rage controls the position for a moment.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
rage can't do much from the bottom here.

silva tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
rage is not content to let silva control the position.
rage tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but silva wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
I wouldn't like to be where rage is right now.

silva advances to mount.
rage tries to lock up and control but silva gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
rage is breathing heavily.

The referee stands the fighters back up. cj rage just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
rage blocks a head kick by silva.
silva shoots and misses

and rage counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

silva trying to keep a closed guard but rage is proving a slippery customer.

rage missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
rage working some strikes from top position.
rage working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of silva's head.

rage scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

rage has gone for a leg lock! silva slips out almost immediately though and dives into rage's guard.
rage pulls silva in close to prevent any damage.

rage frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

rage will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

rage is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but silva is surviving well by controlling rage's body position as best he can.
silva really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

silva wants to control but rage is having none of it.
rage breaks from silva's wrist control and lands an elbow.
rage landing strikes from the mount.
silva can't escape the position.
rage is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. silva can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

silva sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
silva is trying to defend against the ground and pound but rage scores with a couple of nice shots.

rage is trying to work for a kimura but silva is defending well.
silva looks like he's trying to stand up.

rage seems to be working for a kimura but silva defends the submission attempt.

rage is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

silva shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than silva was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

rage manages to regain half guard. Good work.
rage tries to roll over but silva keeps him under control.
silva trying to control from half guard but rage is working away.
rage controlling the position for now.
rage's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
silva is thwarting rage's attempts to control the position.
silva wants to stand but rage has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

rage thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
rage takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
silva wants to improve his position but rage is controlling well.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
silva tries to clinch

so rage counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
silva is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

rage drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and silva dives on top into guard.
silva wanted to stand there but rage had control of the position.

cj rage overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
rage is pulling down on silva's head to control his posture.
silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. rage swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

silva gets to his feet. rage looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

and rage counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

rage thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

silva has momentary wrist control but rage slips an elbow through the middle.
silva looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
rage stopping the sweep attempt from silva.
rage distracts silva with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
rage postures up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
silva misses with a takedown

and rage counters with a takedown into side control.
cj rage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of alex silva.

silva tries to bench press rage off him but rage keeps the position.

cj rage showed his dominance in that final round.
Well rage has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
