PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Nevils (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz's entrance music is Take My Hand. A fine choice. Nevils is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Someday- Flipsyde. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nick Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryan Nevils!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz fails with a takedown attempt.
Nevils connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Diaz shoots in looking for a takedown. Nevils tries to sprawl out of it but Diaz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Nevils manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Diaz shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Diaz jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Nevils is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Nevils and Diaz has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Nevils pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Nevils is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Diaz doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Nevils.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Diaz, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
