Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Justin Case (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dustin Hetfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hetfield is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Metallica - Battery. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Justin Case!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dustin Hetfield!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, John Kavanagh and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hetfield closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Hetfield stalling against the cage.

Hetfield turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Hetfield working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Case can't do much from the bottom here.

Hetfield tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Case tries to bench press Hetfield off him but Hetfield keeps the position.
Hetfield throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Case manages to get back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Hetfield is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Hetfield stops Case from getting back to his feet.

Hetfield is trying to work for a kimura but Case is defending well.

Case actively working from the bottom here.
Case avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hetfield.
Case controlling the position for now.
Case strikes from the bottom but Hetfield passes into mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Case is trying desperately to improve position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Case tries to improve his position but instead Hetfield has taken his back!
Hetfield is not going to allow Case to sit and survive in this position.

Case is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Hetfield gets his way!

Hetfield is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Hetfield gets his hands free as Case looks to control.

Case tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Case is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Hetfield looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Case sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Hetfield missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Case looking for submissions off his back.

Case has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Hetfield escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Hetfield!
Hetfield has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Case is trying to improve his position.

Hetfield is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Case has escaped the position, nice work there.
Case is looking to regain half guard here but Hetfield keeps moving and retains side control.
Case throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.

Hetfield tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hetfield has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Case tries to get back to half guard but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dustin Hetfield dominated that round.
That's time! Case's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Case scores a takedown into full mount!

Case has control of Hetfield's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hetfield regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Hetfield in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Case is landing with some decent strikes but Hetfield is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Hetfield keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Case punishing his opponent with strikes.
Case lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Hetfield is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Case lands a big shot there that rocks Hetfield but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Hetfield looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Case scores with punches to the body.

Case has his arm under Hetfield's chin here. Game over son! Case squeezes tightly and Hetfield is forced to tap out!
