Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tor The Hammer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kenneth Vedhult!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Aleksandr Martynov and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Hammer connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Vedhult walks into a straight right hand from The Hammer.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Vedhult looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Vedhult lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down The Hammer.
The Hammer is trying to force a seperation but Vedhult has the dominant position.

The Hammer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The Hammer throws a jab but it's blocked by Vedhult.
Vedhult takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Vedhult takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
The Hammer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The Hammer circles away from the clinch attempt.
Vedhult takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Vedhult ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Vedhult dives in and grabs The Hammer's left leg, looking for a takedown. The Hammer pushes down on Vedhult's head and hops out.
The Hammer bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Vedhult has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by The Hammer.

Vedhult fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. The Hammer sprawls well initially but Vedhult persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Vedhult not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The Hammer is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Vedhult is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Vedhult closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming The Hammer to the mat! The Hammer manages to get full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
