Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Logen Ninefingers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Logen Ninefingers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jackson Hawk!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Sergei Dronov and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ninefingers shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hawk pinned against the cage. Hawk gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Ninefingers feints and as Hawk raises his hands in defense, Ninefingers changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Ninefingers throwing strikes from guard but Hawk blocks nicely.

Ninefingers has gone for a leg lock! Hawk slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ninefingers's guard.
Hawk throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ninefingers works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Ninefingers is trying to keep Hawk in close.
Hawk loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Ninefingers is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hawk defends well.

Ninefingers feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Hawk wants to get back to his feet but Ninefingers is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hawk is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ninefingers is aware though and is defending well.

Hawk has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ninefingers can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Hawk throws a leg kick which misses Ninefingers's front leg but catches the back leg as Ninefingers tries to avoid it.

Ninefingers gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hawk to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Ninefingers manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hawk manages to get himself to full guard.
Hawk is looking to stand up but Ninefingers isn't so interested in that idea.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ninefingers accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Hawk is trying to control the position but Ninefingers postures up.
Ninefingers stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hawk swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hawk is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Ninefingers avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ninefingers is defended easily by Hawk.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ninefingers is in all sorts of trouble here.

Hawk lands a big shot there that rocks Ninefingers but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Ninefingers is squirming around, avoiding Hawk's attempts to control the action.
Ninefingers is trying to reverse the position but instead Hawk has taken his back - oops!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Ninefingers swings for the body but Hawk moves out of range.

Hawk clinches up with Ninefingers and pushes him back against the cage.
Hawk lands a knee to the body.
Ninefingers tries to pull guard but Hawk won't allow it.
Ninefingers tries to pull guard but Hawk holds him up against the cage and eventually Ninefingers drops back down to his feet.

Hawk turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Ninefingers is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Hawk's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Hawk is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hawk tries to free his leg and advance position but Ninefingers is retaining full guard.

Hawk bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ninefingers's guard.

Ninefingers is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Hawk's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Ninefingers drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hawk pulls his leg out and moves away.

Hawk working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ninefingers doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ninefingers manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Hawk throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ninefingers's waist but Ninefingers gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hawk off to one side.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hawk looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Ninefingers slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Ninefingers is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Hawk is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Ninefingers looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hawk with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hawk is not content to let Ninefingers control the position.

Ninefingers works over Hawk with some ground and pound from guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Ninefingers shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Ninefingers stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hawk swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ninefingers working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Hawk's head.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Hawk wants to clinch but Ninefingers slips to the side
and Ninefingers counters with a two punch combo.
Ninefingers misses with a hook. Hawk ducked under it nicely.

Hawk shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ninefingers is trying to defend but Hawk finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Hawk has his foot on Ninefingers's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ninefingers works his way back into a safe position though.

Hawk had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ninefingers defends it easily.

And that's the end of the fight!

I've got Hawk winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
