Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rumerk Murwain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Voitto Puhti!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut lands for Puhti. That snapped Murwain's head back.
Puhti lands with a shot to the body.
Puhti throws the left hand but Murwain avoids the punch easily.
Puhti on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Murwain keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Puhti tries for a takedown but Murwain sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Murwain waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Puhti.
Puhti moves out of range as Murwain strikes.
Puhti lands a jab to the head.
Murwain connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Murwain throws a hook but Puhti avoids it easily.
Puhti walks into a stiff left hand from Murwain.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Murwain swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Puhti takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Puhti throws a hook but Murwain avoids it easily.
Nice jab there from Murwain.
Murwain misses with an uppercut.
Puhti takes a swing at Murwain's ribcage but misses.
Puhti throws a sloppy body shot
and Murwain counters with a stiff right hand.
Murwain fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Murwain throws out a powerful jab.
Puhti is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round.
A jab from Puhti misses.
Murwain sizes up Puhti with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Puhti is still on wobbly legs! Can Murwain finish him?
Puhti shoots for a takedown but Murwain saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Murwain cracks Puhti on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Puhti falls backwards against the cage. Murwain follows up with more strikes that drop Puhti to his knees. Murwain keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Puhti! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rumerk Murwain!
