Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jet Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Garry Dupuis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dupuis comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Warriors Of Time by Black Tide kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Jet Thompson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dupuis has managed to clinch.
Good body shot from Dupuis.
Dupuis jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Thompson walks away with a smile on his face. Dupuis gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Thompson leaves Dupuis with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Thompson takes a swing at Dupuis's ribcage but misses.
Jet Thompson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dupuis is looking to clinch.
Dupuis throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Thompson was covering up waiting for the punch and Dupuis finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Dupuis wants to control from the top but Thompson keeps moving.
Dupuis being controlled here momentarily.
Dupuis is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Thompson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Thompson has escaped and now he's on top!
Thompson stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Dupuis tries for a takedown but Thompson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Jet Thompson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Garry Dupuis.
Dupuis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Thompson circles away.
Dupuis tries to clinch but Thompson is having none of it.
Thompson slaps away a takedown attempt from Dupuis, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Thompson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Thompson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Thompson digs a good hook to Dupuis's body.

Dupuis is looking to clinch but Thompson is avoiding it.
Thompson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Thompson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Dupuis uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Thompson.
Dupuis avoids the body shot from Thompson.
A right-left combo lands from Thompson.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dupuis needs to keep his hands up - Thompson had a free shot at his head there.
Dupuis changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Thompson tries to avoid it but Dupuis manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Thompson to the ground. Thompson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Dupuis tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Dupuis shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Thompson throws a nice looking combination but Dupuis bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Dupuis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Thompson as he jumps to the side.
Jet Thompson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Dupuis has a takedown stuffed.
Dupuis seems to have recovered his senses.
Thompson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dupuis moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Dupuis tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Thompson with a jab.
Nice shot lands for Thompson.
Thompson connects with a looping right hand.
Thompson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Thompson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Dupuis.

Dupuis takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
A telegraphed right hand from Thompson misses the target.
Thompson fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Thompson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Thompson throws out a powerful jab.
Thompson swats away the attempt to clinch by Dupuis.
Dupuis swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Thompson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Thompson lands with a cross.
Thompson cracks Dupuis with a hook to the temple - Dupuis is on wobbly legs here! Thompson swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Dupuis falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Thompson wins by TKO!
