The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Builder throws a leg kick but Dan moved away.

Dan lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Builder circles away quickly and effectively.

Builder swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Dan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Builder misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Dan lands with a nice combination. Builder backs away looking to recover.

Dan connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Builder's hands.

Dan misses with a few strikes there.
Builder takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Builder is looking to land body kicks.
Dan connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Dan throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Dan slaps away a takedown attempt from Builder, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Dan throws a leg kick but Builder sees it coming and moves out of range.

Dan gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Builder shoots in for a double leg but Dan sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Dan looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Builder goes for a takedown attempt but Dan pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Builder tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Builder throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dan was covering up waiting for the punch and Builder finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Dan wants to get back to his feet but Builder is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Builder stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Dan wants to get back to his feet but Builder is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Builder passes Dan's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Builder lands strikes from half guard.
Dan wants to get back to his feet.

Builder working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Builder seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Dan is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
