Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vidor Makarov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivana Rooinu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ivana Rooinu is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivana Rooinu!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makarov throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rooinu.
Makarov fails with an attempt to clinch.
Vidor Makarov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Rooinu tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Makarov paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Makarov goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Makarov moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Makarov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Makarov looks to land a combination but Rooinu avoids it well.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Vidor Makarov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ivana Rooinu.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Rooinu is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Makarov can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

You get the feeling that Makarov really doesn't like being in this position too much.
