Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
kroshi fails with the takedown.
kroshi throws a series of punches but Cottingham moves out of range.
kroshi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cottingham as he avoids it easily.
kroshi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cottingham swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for costo kroshi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
kroshi connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Cottingham momentarily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from kroshi.
Cottingham throws a series of punches but kroshi moves out of range.

Cottingham throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. kroshi was covering up waiting for the punch and Cottingham finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Cottingham drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and kroshi dives on top into guard.

Cottingham is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and kroshi defends well.

Cottingham looking for submissions from the bottom but instead kroshi passes into side control.

Cottingham tries to bench press kroshi off him but kroshi keeps the position.
kroshi blocks the strikes from Cottingham.
Cottingham should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
kroshi has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Cottingham tries to get back to half guard but can't.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cottingham can do anything to dispel that myth.
Cottingham flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Cottingham is squirming around, avoiding kroshi's attempts to control the action.
Cottingham is in all sorts of trouble here.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Cottingham throws some strikes from the bottom but kroshi isn't bothered - he's working on a kimura... it looks tight... it is! Cottingham is tapping and screaming like a little girl! Ouch, that looks painful! Good win for kroshi!
