Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alex Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arthur Floriano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alex Souza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Arthur Floriano!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Daniel Cesar and Matheus Silva.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Floriano is looking to clinch.
Souza connects with a nice looking jab.

It looks like Arthur Floriano has been cut.
Souza scores with a jab.
Floriano shoots for a takedown but Souza saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Souza stuffs the takedown attempt from Floriano. Floriano gets slowly back to his feet.

Souza clinches up against the cage.
Souza tries to land a knee to the head but Floriano blocks with his arms.
Floriano on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Floriano tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Alex Souza has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arthur Floriano.
Floriano has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Souza avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Floriano is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Souza pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Floriano fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Souza escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Souza throws a right hand that Floriano ducks under and follows up with a left that Floriano also avoids with ease.
Floriano takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Souza darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Souza is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Floriano.
Souza connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Floriano tumbling to the canvas! Souza pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Floriano was done - good stoppage!
