The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks lands with a slapping head kick.
OMalley takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
OMalley looks to throw the jab but Brooks is out of range.
OMalley throws a front kick aimed at Brooks's knee but Brooks avoids it well.

Brooks closes the distance and clinches.
Brooks keeps control of OMalley as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
OMalley is looking to break free of the clinch but Brooks has double underhooks.
OMalley has had enough of the clinch but Brooks keeps him there for the moment.
Brooks is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Brooks gets underhooks to prevent OMalley's takedown attempt.

and Brooks counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Brooks.
OMalley seems to have recovered his senses.
