Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anderson Griffin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kai Tyson!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Paulo Santos and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Griffin closes the distance and pushes Tyson back into the cage.
Tyson tries to break the clinch but Griffin is controlling the position.
Tyson tries for a takedown but Griffin manages to get underhooks.
Griffin lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Tyson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Griffin gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Tyson.
Anderson Griffin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kai Tyson.

Griffin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Griffin throws a series of punches but Tyson avoids them all with ease.
Tyson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Tyson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Griffin was covering up waiting for the punch and Tyson finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Tyson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Griffin wants to stand and escape but Tyson is having none of it.
Tyson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Despite being in the dominant position, Kai Tyson just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Tyson thows a huge punch but Griffin dodges it nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Griffin is not content to let Tyson control the position.
Griffin is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Tyson scores with a couple of nice shots.
Tyson is just content to waste time from the top position. Griffin takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Griffin can't keep his opponent in guard - Tyson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kai Tyson dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Tyson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Griffin avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Tyson is looking to take a break and control but Griffin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Griffin kicks Tyson off and gets back to his feet.
Tyson shoots for a takedown but Griffin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Griffin stuffs the takedown attempt from Tyson. Tyson gets slowly back to his feet.
Griffin doesn't manage to clinch there - Tyson circles away.
Tyson closes the distance but Griffin moves to the side
and Griffin counters with a three punch combo that has Tyson backing up. Tyson nods at Griffin to acknowledge the strikes.

and Griffin counters with a series of strikes. Tyson will be more careful next time no doubt.

Tyson has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Griffin is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Tyson yanks on the arm and Griffin is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Tyson.
