The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kossu.
Kossu swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Davis.
Kossu throws a series of punches but Davis avoids them all with ease.
Davis looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Frank Kossu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Davis tries to keep at a distance but Kossu has taken the fight into the clinch.
Kossu lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Davis successfully pulls guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kossu stands up and waves to Davis to follow him.
Davis will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Kossu throws a head kick but Davis moves out of range.
Kossu tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kossu lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Kossu fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Davis manages to avoid it.

Davis jumps guard but Kossu stands there with Davis around his waist. Davis gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Davis takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Kossu throws a nice looking combination but Davis bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kossu lands a nice looking kick to the body. Davis takes a step back to recover.

Davis shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kossu sprawls well. Kossu wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Davis gets slowly back to his feet.

Kossu throws an overhand right that lands on Davis's shoulder, as Davis tries to avoid the shot.
Kossu is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Kossu throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Davis stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Kossu lands a head kick. Davis smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kossu clobbers Davis with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Davis tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kossu smiles and moves away.

Davis is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kossu pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Davis tries to advance to mount but can't.

Davis tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Davis has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Kossu is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Frank Kossu is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Davis tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kossu tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Davis unloads with some shots from mount but Kossu bucks and avoids them well.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Frank Kossu.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kossu, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
