The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mahmi misses with a hook.
Inyo Mahmi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Richer misses with a head kick.
Mahmi throws a right and a left that Richer avoids nicely.
Mahmi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Richer .
Richer dodges the punch combination from Mahmi.
Richer has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Mahmi's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Mahmi duly obliges.
Mahmi throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Richer takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Mahmi connects with a body shot.
Richer takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Richer avoids the body shot from Mahmi.
A right-left combo lands from Mahmi.

Richer has managed to clinch.
Richer scores with a shot to the side of Mahmi's head.

It looks like Inyo Mahmi has been cut.
Richer lands with a short shot to the head.

Richer turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Richer decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Richer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Richer postures up and lands a big shot to Mahmi's brow.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Richer 's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Richer tries to stand but Mahmi is controlling from the bottom.
Mahmi has momentary wrist control but Richer slips an elbow through the middle.

Mahmi looking for a triangle here. Richer is fighting it but it looks tight! Mahmi pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Richer is tapping out - this one is all over!
