Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jorge Masvidal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lae Praye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jorge Masvidal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lae Praye!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Luis Engracia and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Masvidal gets caught flat footed, as Praye shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Masvidal looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Praye trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Praye wants to pass the guard but Masvidal is keeping the position.
Praye sitting in guard here, content to control.
Praye advances to half guard.
Masvidal tries to roll over but Praye keeps him under control.
Masvidal has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Praye is working away from the top position though.

Let's hope that Praye has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Masvidal with a lazy takedown attempt
and Praye counters with a series of strikes. Masvidal will be more careful next time no doubt.

and Praye decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Masvidal's guard.
Praye stands up over Masvidal, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Praye seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Praye closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Praye lands in his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Masvidal throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Praye escapes and throws Masvidal's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Lae Praye showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Praye closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Masvidal is in trouble now - Praye has advanced to mount!

Masvidal jumps guard but Praye stands there with Masvidal around his waist. Masvidal gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Masvidal is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Praye holds on and takes a little breather.

Lae Praye comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Praye has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
