Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brian McDown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Oliveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oliveira has chosen The Only - Static x as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Gabriel Oliveira will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oliveira gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows McDown to score an easy takedown into full guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Brian McDown will probably get the nod.

Oliveira escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McDown gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Oliveira had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. McDown is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Oliveira Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take McDown's back instead.

I really don't envy McDown right now.

Oliveira has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for McDown! Can he survive? No! He's out! Oliveira gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
