Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kiko Machine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ryan Payne !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kiko Machine!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Skip Squint and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payne shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Machine as he avoids it easily.
Horrible takedown by Payne or perhaps it was just good defense by Machine which made him look bad.
Payne takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Payne tries for a takedown but Machine sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan Payne . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Machine throws a head kick but Payne moves out of range.

Machine moves into the clinch.
Payne is pressed up against the cage. Machine has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Payne down to the mat. Payne avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Machine closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Payne did well to prevent Machine getting side control.

Payne is pressing down on Machine's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Payne is looking to stand up but Machine isn't so interested in that idea.
Payne bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Machine's guard.

Payne wants to control from the top but Machine keeps moving.
Machine can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Payne controls the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Payne in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Payne decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

and Machine decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Payne 's guard.
Payne is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Machine really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Payne . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Payne is adopting a defensive guard.

Machine is trying to land a reversal but Payne doesn't like that idea too much. He pushed the legs to the side and dives into side control. He's managed to grab a loose arm triangle. Payne is tightening it up though! This could be trouble for Machine! Machine trying desperately to escape but he's gone limp! He's out! Wooooorld class Brazilian Jiu Jitsu from Payne !
