The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Michinoku drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Reznor is looking to regain half guard here but Michinoku keeps moving and retains side control.
Reznor can't do much from the bottom here.
Michinoku tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
You can see the frustration on Reznor's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Reznor manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Reznor wants to improve his position but Michinoku is controlling well.
Michinoku is just content to waste time from the top position. Reznor takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Michinoku wants to control from the top but Reznor keeps moving.

Reznor is looking for a triangle but Michinoku pushes his legs off easily.

Reznor throws his legs up looking for a submission but Michinoku uses it to pass to side control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Michinoku shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Reznor is trying to defend but Michinoku finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Michinoku is trying to escape the mount but Reznor keeps good control and instead manages to take Michinoku's back.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Reznor's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Some wild striking there from Reznor.
Michinoku shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Reznor as he avoids it easily.
Michinoku dives in and grabs Reznor's left leg, looking for a takedown. Reznor pushes down on Michinoku's head and hops out.

Michinoku closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Michinoku lands in his opponent's guard.

Reznor is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Michinoku defends well.
Reznor is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Michinoku could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Reznor takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Michinoku on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Michinoku tries to get out of the position.
Reznor works his way into side control.
Reznor works to advance to full mount. Michinoku defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Reznor stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Iggy Reznor is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Reznor gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Michinoku counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Reznor!

Reznor controls Michinoku momentarily but Michinoku frees himself.

Michinoku has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Reznor to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Michinoku is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Reznor pulls down on the head and he's put Michinoku to sleep! This one is all over!
