Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Kingman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vlad The Impaler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Impaler misses with a wild combination.

The Impaler closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Kingman is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

The Impaler decides to stand up, so the ref orders Kingman to his feet.

Kingman looks to land a left hand but The Impaler moved out of range nicely.

and Kingman counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in The Impaler's guard now.

Kingman is stalling here. The Impaler is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Kingman seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and The Impaler has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The Impaler decides to stand back up. The Impaler steps back and let's Kingman get back to his feet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Kingman feints and as The Impaler raises his hands in defense, Kingman changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The Impaler quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Kingman has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast!
