Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pawel Rybicki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Giorgio Petrosyan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pawel Rybicki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Giorgio Petrosyan!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrosyan tries to close the distance and clinch but Rybicki swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Petrosyan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Rybicki clinches but Petrosyan breaks the clinch

and Petrosyan counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Petrosyan.

Rybicki throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rybicki shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Petrosyan but Petrosyan pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Petrosyan has closed the distance and engaged Rybicki in a clinch.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Rybicki blocks the elbow strike.
Rybicki has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pawel Rybicki. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Petrosyan slowing the pace effectively.

Rybicki decides to pull guard.
Petrosyan wants to stand but Rybicki is controlling his posture from full guard.

Rybicki shoots in but no luck this time.
Rybicki takes a swing at Petrosyan's ribcage but misses.
Petrosyan just misses with a punch to the body.
Rybicki swats away the attempt to clinch by Petrosyan.

Petrosyan takes the fight into the clinch.
Petrosyan comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Rybicki is trying to break free.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Petrosyan lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Petrosyan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rybicki. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

That was a close second round but I would say that Pawel Rybicki will probably get the nod.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Petrosyan. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
